Litigation and Dispute Resolution

Civil Disputes

We have strong background in dealing with civil litigation and dispute resolution. We act for claimants and defendants and conduct litigation at the High Court and County Court from the pre-action stage to trial and enforcement of civil judgments. The nature of cases we deal with at Amanah Solicitors include contractual and financial disputes, partnership or shareholders’ disputes, property related disputes and injunctions (including freezing injunctions).

We conduct litigation with a business-like, pragmatic approach. Our view is that not every dispute should require a trip to the courts. We attempt to resolve disputes out of court wherever possible. Therefore, we deploy alternative dispute resolution methods wherever the circumstances demand it and seek to resolve disputes at the earliest possible opportunity.

We aim to minimise costs and stress for our clients whilst recognising that some matters inevitably require adjudication by the courts. Yet, in line with our principal philosophy around guarding our clients’ interests, we fight our clients’ corner and protect their interests in every way possible. We are candid with our clients regarding the merits of their cases; yet we fight for our clients no less.

Fraud Litigation

It is a fact of life that not every business deal is ‘worth it’. When a business deal that was entered into turns out to be fraudulent (or a ‘dodgy deal’), it can become financially challenging as well as emotionally exhausting.

We have experience in dealing with serious civil fraud cases. With timely action, we can often recover funds and assets that fraudsters had put out of the reach of their victims. We engage in careful case planning from the outset and pursue the perpetrators aggressively through the courts. Our experience shows that victims of fraud stand a better chance of recovery with prompt legal action.

Despite the heavy emotional and financial toll upon victims of fraud, we encourage such victims to contact Amanah Solicitors promptly so that we can take the necessary steps in order to attempt to recover their loss. Time is truly of the essence for victims of fraud.
